A 21st Century Homemaker's Castings on Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Whatever Necessity Requires
Welcome to my plot in The Commons. On this virtual land I aim to harvest liberty, something I believe is as essential to human security and survival as clean water, food and love. It is most certainly the shelter I want to leave my children.
Liberty, to me, is the freedom to be myself wisely. When I can do that, and when others are also free to be themselves wisely, miraculous things happen. Politically, I am interested only that my right to self-governance of the process of being myself wisely is safe guarded.
I have long observed forces at work in our country and in my own life that propel toward greater liberty, and forces that seek its diminishment. I am here to align myself with former, and to help cultivate and preserve that rarest and most precious of heirloom seeds.
Ultimately, I have no more idea of how this will go down than I do our yearly kitchen garden. I expect to get dirty, to suffer catastrophic crop failure and to stay in when it’s raining. I also expect to learn a thing or two and to eat well. That seems enough.

Hi I hope you don’t mind I nominated you for an award. Check it out.

You are too kind! I told Jueseppi that I couldn’t accept this because at the time I wasn’t familiar with enough blogs to nominate others with any kind of quality control. I have respect for both of you and if you’ve both nominated me for this I will take it as a sign from the Universe that it’s time to accept! Will do so shortly after some digging in the dirt this morning. Be well and thank you again.
You’re welcome. Enjoy your digging.
Thanks again for your lovely remarks about my blog
I hope that’s ok (not exaclty sure what the rules are!) But I love your blog & a must for my nominations

Your blog is one of the newer ones on my “following list”, but I absolutely love it. I have nominated you for the Liebster Award via my Ravemore’s Notes blog… http://ravemore.wordpress.com/ Also, as soon as I’m done with these nomination thingy’s I’ll get to the comments you left on mine… May be a day or two, but I’ll get to them.
Aww, shucks. Thank you. I’ll get out my ladle and do some cauldron stirring some time soon. Your award questions are fascinating and deserve a response. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed checking out the nomination list too and look forward to hearing how they respond to those same questions.
